    Marilyn has written Bible studies and hundreds of devotions, articles, and blogs; contributed to online and print publications, and has authored five devotional and non-fiction books. She was editor for two volumes of Penned from the Heart, a 366-day devotional compilation, has been in writing critique groups for over ten years. Most recently she completed two editing courses at The Pen Institute and is a writing team member The Write Editing.   • Widowhood
    Most people are surprised to hear that the average age of a widow is 59. At any point in a woman’s life, she may be a widow or know one- her mother, aunt, grandmother, neighbor, or friend. Every day in the US 1,000 women wake up married, but by day’s end wear the status of “widow”. It’s a club no woman wants to join but Marilyn suddenly became a member in 2011. Since that time, she has written blogs and articles on grief and widowhood and has facilitated a grief support for spouses group for eight years. Though there is no fix, there is guidance to heal and move forward in a woman’s individual timing.
