This week, with the bombardment of ads and store displays, many walk a path where they do not identify or feel loved. Perhaps it is a relationship or marriage that has deteriorated; a child, teen, or adult who feels excluded from a group; a friend who has betrayed them; a single who hoped this year would be different; or a person who lives alone.
The hurt is real, there is no denying it.
We also cannot deny the truth of scripture and the consolation it offers:
“In all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death or life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:37-39 NIV)
Today, may you know God’s lavish love for you—His love lasts.
